Studio Refresh Instructional Video

An internal training assignment that became a full-scale video production, showcasing both initiative and creative problem-solving.

When our Facilities Manager asked each studio team to create a short video reinforcing the “Studio Refresh” process, most submitted quick phone recordings. I saw an opportunity to do something more engaging, and didn’t let the fact that I’d never made a video like this stop me.

I taught myself iMovie, figured out how to film using a DSLR and tripod, recorded voiceovers, and edited the final piece myself. I also worked with a teammate to create a stop-motion introduction, which helped to highlight their talent and I was able to learn the technique along the way. The entire project was a reminder of how much I enjoy diving into unfamiliar tools and turning “I’ve never done that before” into “I can figure it out.”

The result was a winning submission and a personal favorite: equal parts playful and practical, and a great example of how I approach new challenges.
