Hello! My name is

Noelle Matthews

Somewhere between a long run and a good meal, probably planning the next thing.

About Me

This site pulls together the different parts of my life: professional, academic, and personal. It's a place to house what I've done, what I'm working on, and what I want to keep exploring.

The portfolio section highlights projects from my Master’s in Data Science program alongside select professional work, including data visualizations, analysis, and a standard operating procedure video. I’ve also included a resume and a bit of context to help tie everything together.

Offline, I bake, run, thrift, travel, and take a lot of photos on film. I like trying new things, even if they don’t turn into anything. This site is where some of it lands.

Move

I walk most places and wind down with waterfront strolls alongside Cocoa in his stroller. I run several half marathons a year and finally joined a run club after years of wanting to. Most weekdays start at Barry’s, which keeps me feeling steady. Lately, I’ve been planning trips around races because a finish line feels like the best excuse to see a new city.

Study

I’m earning a Master’s in Data Science from Willamette University, shaped by real deadlines, messy data, collaborative projects, and steady progress. It’s changed how I think, how I problem-solve, and how I approach what I don’t yet know. A course I didn’t expect to love was technical sales engineering, which taught me to pitch data-driven ideas and communicate with clarity.

Work

I’ve spent over a decade in commercial real estate, focused on operations, tenant relationships, and financial performance. I manage 250,000 square feet of Class A and historic office and retail space in downtown Portland. It’s a role that requires strategy, responsiveness, and a constant balance between relying on experience and staying open to new ways of thinking.

Play

I bake for family, friends, and the fun of it. I experiment with 35mm film and love finding new ways to play with images, like vintage photo booths or sitting for an aura portrait. I’ll plan a weekend around a thrift loop or a show I've been looking forward to. I’m still adjusting to life without my little Marshmellow, my dog of over fifteen years, who I miss every day.
